At this point, the presidential candidates already sound like puppets, so you might as well have some fun and take the reins as the puppeteer. Just download full-color puppet-finger PDFs of McCain, Clinton and Obama, and a few folds later you'll have an entire cast of Oval-Office-seekers. Then you can bend the candidates to your will in funny—or compromising—photos and videos. Or if that sounds too much like work, just browse the Flickr and YouTube sets for some equal-time laughter.

"Fill your bedroom with fire once and for all." Like most spam headlines, it's meant to sound naughty. But in the hands of artist Janet Nelson, this phrase becomes as innocuous as a knock-knock joke. She takes spam headlines and illustrates them through the eyes and drawing style of a child. Under the aforementioned headline, a fire-breathing dragon nestles into a twin bed; in another of Nelson's imaginings, two men lean over snow shovels under the caption, "12 more inches ain't so bad, don't you think?"

Here's a good reason to get up before noon on a Saturday: Tomorrow (May 3) is Free Comic Book Day. All you have to do is throw on some sweats and head to the nearest local comic shop to put your hands on some graphic adventure. You'll find absolutely free, no-strings-attached comics ranging from Hellboy and All Star Superman to Transformers and X-Men. Selection varies by store, but you can find the nearest participating shop online.
